Road Trip 1-30-10 Terre Haute to Darwin, IL : I took a Sunday morning drive with a goal of photographing eagles or wading birds along the Wabash River, and back into Terre Haute that afternoon hoping to shoot crows picking through dumpsters and trash cans. My drive South along the West side of the river landed me past Darwin, IL, a quaint little burg that is famous for the Darwin Ferry. Back in Terre Haute I shot in Deming and Dobbs park, focusing on the people and activities. The "city shots" are in the Chauncey Rose-Union Hospital area of Terre Haute. Feel free to comment on the shots.

Billie Creek Village Civil War Reinactment 6-2008 : Reinactments are always fun to shoot. I took a little twist on this one. My goal was to capture the reinactors using modern day devices, such as cell phones, drinking pop out of cans, shooting videos, etc. Made for a fun day. The reinactors were very impressive. When they noticed the camera aimed at them, they jumped right into their role. You will notice many of the posed shots there are no smiles. Well, they didn't smile for portraits in the period.
